WebDevStudios and Me

Winter is coming. Upon returning from my summer hiatus, I excitedly accepted a position in the beginning of September as a Client Strategist at WebDevStudios. That is correct, I am back to work folks. Taking the summer off to think about my future path was the best thing I could have done for myself. Exploring the country and doing some soul searching helped me accept the position with a clear mind and happy heart. Anytime you start a new position there is an adjustment period, especially at 40. Being the new person is awkward. It is the equivalent of being […]

I believe you should vote

Philly Skyline - Vote Nov 8

I am completely pro-choice and very pro-Planned Parenthood. I believe that Americans should be allowed to bear arms but be licensed and educated on firearms. I think too many people are being killed unnecessarily. I think college should be free and/or affordable. I don’t believe we need a wall but a better screening process could be beneficial. I love having people from all cultures and backgrounds in the US. I believe that the environment needs more help than the economy. I also believe that finding alternative energy sources could help fix the economy and provide jobs. Marijuana should be legal, […]

Kickboxing

Kickboxing gloves

I started Kickboxing. I’m pretty sure I mentioned this before but I’m not what you would call athletic. The idea of exercise stresses me out. As a child, I really wanted to be the sporty type. I tried out for all types of things like basketball and track. During the track try outs I remember the coach asking if I wanted to try shot put. This was after he saw me dying about 3 mins into a run. I knew this was his nice way of saying that I was never going to be on the team. I was a […]

My favorite fall things

Bottle of Bomberger's Whiskey

This is my time of year! Having grown up in the Poconos, the cold air is in my blood. From mid-October to mid-January, I shine. I like the short days, the brisk air, and more importantly the lingering holiday spirit. I’m admittedly one of those “Christmas People”. Last year, the hubs tried to surprise me by getting our Christmas tree early. I smelled the pine as soon as I walked in the building. He can’t fool me when it comes to anything Christmas. I need to have a fresh tree every year and I always feel guilty about this because […]

One year of marriage

Ccelli and Jodie First Kiss

In the winter of 2005 while scouring MySpace, I came across some dude named Ccelli looking for singers. Many of you know this story. Here we are almost 10 years later celebrating our first wedding anniversary. My wedding day was pure bliss. You can watch the video. I’ll tell you a secret. I often watch this myself to relive that day. It was magical. I love being married. Before we wed, many people told me that marriage is hard, marriage is work, and marriage is sacrifice. I don’t believe any of that. I believe that marriage is an amazing journey […]

It wouldn’t be hard if it was easy

ClearEyesMeme

I know it’s not how the saying goes but yesterday I said “It wouldn’t be hard if it was easy” to myself. I’m not sure why I said it or why it came out like that. It doesn’t even make sense. As I proceeded throughout the day, I started to think about it more. Maybe it does make some sense after all? It’s easy to sit on the sofa and watch TV. It’s easy to order a pizza. It’s easy to grab take-out for dinner. Most of these things provide short term gratification. I’m all for a good pizza and […]
